PARENT-STUDENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES TONIGHT & TOMORROW!

Today in MATH we:

• Handed in our Problem of the week #15.
• Got Problem of the week #16.
• Started work on "special products"
• Had a homework check on worksheet 5.6 (9G only).
• 5.7 is due on Monday. Remember you MUST SHOW YOUR WORK. Use a seperate sheet of paper to organize your work.
• You can do extra questions in math: mp9 p

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did spelling quiz #13. How did you do?
• SIA9 p295 ayl #1-9 due for Tuesday.
• You can work ahead in science by completing your vocabulary for this unit.
• We worked on our KWL charts for electricity.....what is included in yours?

ALL THE REST:

• Remember you are responsible to make up ANY work you missed....this includes but is not limited to notes, assignments, tests & quizzes.
• Current Events will continue next week - be READY.
• No School tomorrow or Monday.
• An independent learner will be reviewing each subject for 15 minutes each day. Review is above and beyond the assingments you have to work on.

• We will be working on a KWL chart for electricity tomorrow. What does kwl stand for? What things will you include on your chart?

• Worked on some Math computer websites.
• Be ready for Factoring trinomials...they're coming this week like it or not!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Chose our 5 spelling words for quiz #13
• Finished our cyberscience work from Friday.
• Built some circuits.....did yours work? Why or why not?

• We are still going on our field trip to James Fowler tomorrow. Don't forget to bring a LUNCH!

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Did spelling quiz #12.
• Had Current Events: Well Done.
• Worked on Laptops, went to the learn alberta website & did 4 modules on electricity: Static electricity, lightning, electrochemcial cells, & modifiying electrochemical cells.
• Do c&r p283 #1-9. You should now have notes, vocabulary & c&r done for sections 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3. Make sure you are up to date.

Today in SCIENCE we:

• Answered some pre-lab questions.
• Did a lab on settling upset stomachs. How did you do? Did you follow all of the safety guidelines?
• Report is due tomorrow. You should be nearly done, include sources of Error - did the experiment work the way you expected it to? Why or Why Not? What conclusions can you make? Can you accept or reject your hypothesis?
• Reminder: Spelling #11 tomorrow.
